Brain Health Initiative and Manatee County Government COVID-19: First Responder Training

Dear All,
We are looking forward to seeing you this Tuesday, May 5th from 2pm- 3pm via Zoom (please see log in information below) for the First Responder Training. First responders and law enforcement are at increased risk of exposure of the COVID-19 virus and routinely engage with members of the public who may experience psychological distress that is brought on by social distancing, loss of income, or fear.
In our upcoming meeting, we will provide full overview of the following:
1. Rationale for this outreach
2. The early project work and its demonstrated outcomes (special needs, elderly, veterans)
3. An overview of this outreach project (first responders and law enforcement)
4. Script for callers
5. Technology to be used to conduct outreach
6. Recap of the goals of this outreach
7. Q & A
We are very appreciative of your willingness to engage in a simple conversation that provides a big impact. Providing this outreach to convey appreciation for their work, and a mindfulness approach to reflect on what they are doing to manage their stress, optimizes protective factors against anxiety, depression, suicide, or psychological burnout is so very, very important.
